This is fun the hoping, the anticipation, the second guessing – will he come play near us? Fingers crossed for UK and Europe fans. I hope JT and BR make it over your for more than the one show in Hyde Park.
From Tanglewood dates to Eagles show there are many days in between and I’d keep UK and Euro fans’ hopes and anticipation alive, rkiel. But I must speculate too that’s an awful lot of band people and equipment to move across the pond. Good luck fan friends over there – enjoy the anticipation.Sorry to hear about the Milano contacts. Impossible to get into small TV studio at any taping anywhere in the world. But lucky for them they can watch on TV. I doubt we could pick up the show here in the US let alone out in the middle of the deep blue pacific! But at least a little report about the performance of both Sting and JT from the Italian fans’ home TV would be better than nothing.
Thanks Roger. Is the San Remo singing competition something like the old US American Idol? Maybe one of our dear friends in Italy can get a clip of James performing on the show for us. And maybe get us a clip of Sting too at the same show. That would be molto bella, bene – per favore…:)
My husband had to log in for me on fan presale day – he got in the moment the site came live – today the seat numbers came in the mail. Row 16. Its the section behind the very front sections over to the side. Gone are the days when fan presale gave us those nice up close ones. I’m not complaining, I think row 16 is still great as long as its not too far off to the side. I checked on ticket resale outlet for Portland, Oregon – two front row available for 1400.00 each. 2nd row available for 979.00 each.I dare not even look at what the PIT seats cost in Los Angeles, Hollywood Bowl. CRAZY. Nope not paying sclapers. We’re just fine over in row 16. The sound is better anyway than in the 3 front rows!

Thank you for reading my ramblings and supporting my efforts to share the wonders of James Taylor concert experiences.
I did hear from JT management a sort of cease and desist to my writing about my experiences here on this JTO site – but I doubt the person read what I wrote here because if they had they would not, I’m sure have found fault and the need to censure me. The substance of the note led me to believe it was in a knee jerk reaction to a not so honest titbit shared to them by someone who had read these my recent adventures. We do have censors here on JTO, I guess. Such a shame! We are truly in a Trumpian world! In this note I was told that this year no JTOers were allowed passes. SO, I had no idea when I mentioned ONE instance of speaking with James and feeling compelled to come on here and pass on his message that I would be accused of airing all my multiple visits backstage with James this year! What ‘multiple’ visits backstage I ask you all, have I aired here on JTO? Apparently – I had a couple of pictures from Hong Kong and Singapore shows I posted to my family and friends on FB – that page is PRIVATE and not open to all JTOers just a few I thought I could trust, but I guess not.
I don’t post very many personal encounters I have with our hero on this page because this is not what this site is about. (Well…maybe I did a little – way back when – in the long ago past 20plus years – before he became too busy, after he remarried and had children – back when he had time to sit and shoot the breeze with some of us after his shows on the loading docks or to take time with other musician fans and jam)- more recently this site is for sharing our concert experiences and to air our undying love for and gratitude and enjoyment of his amazing work. Its a place to get information and updates about concerts, so if we can, we plan vacations around show dates. To get updates and rumours about upcoming CD releases. Its a place for musicians to share their efforts at understanding James Taylor’s intricate guitarmanship – a place to talk about and marvel at his amazing songwriting, his singing voice and his amazing band and fellow troubadours. All in fun.
But I guess others have other ideas about what this site is for and have successfully hijacked it.
It’s a real shame – this used to be such a fun place to come where there were really nice people – all real JT Lovin’ Fans and not desperate JT NEEDY fans. This used to be a great sharing of info place now its rife with secret messaging and gossiping behind posts instead of airing it on the forum honestly and openly and dare I say private “in the know” clubs that many of us are not a part of.
JTO use to be a great support base for James Taylor – its become something else I’m afraid. Too bad and so sad.
By the way everyone and anyone has the right to tell one to cease and desist BUT one also has the right to say NO. We are all adults, lets behave like adults.OMG that is so crap Jenn being pushed aside to make room for owners who have already made fortunes from people who buy tickets!! I’m in a right red bit mood just now over bully types who think they now can be open about their bullying just becaause we have a leader now who uses thes tactics and is legitimizing it!!
Oh one more thing – James asked after other JTOers by name and place and he specifically asked to give them his love then he again even more specifically asked to give his LOVE to ALL JTOers!!
My dear friends, family and foes here on JTO. Who read our thoughts here and live or hate what we share – I must apologize to any of you I have offended. Barb here brought to my attention that I have hurt many feelings by this particular post and asked me to remove it or to at least edit it. I’m still on the road with no access to computer so can’t remove or edit anything just yet. BUT after my initial shock and knee jerk reaction to follow her demands so as not to rock the boat or make have more people dislike me – I realized I am not a ten year old to be told or even suggested to – I am in beautiful America land of the free – I am 69 years old and believe I my freedom here as any other American woman. Although it may seem that we are now in a child or preteen Trumpian world I absolutely refuse to accept or even feel like I’m in one. Phew glad to get my ire, my fear, my insecurity out and stand as a free woman and not fear that tsk, tsk finger pointed at me. That said I am sure Barb had her kindly reasons for making me feel like a ten year old this morning but I had to say how it makes me feel and once again apologize if I have hurt anyone by my posting my adventures here. I always love hearing what people write here and hope we really have not descended into childish high school attitudes on this wonderful site. Keep on keeping on JT lovin fans because it’s about expressing our love and gratitude for the depth of meaningfulness and utter enjoyment of our hero’s music and not about desperation to suck more out of the man. It’s not about the man – it’s about what he creates and shares with us. Live and again apologies if I’ve hurt any of you. Tee (((()JTOers)))) please pardon the the typos too
So I posted that Facebook url The Swon Brothers. He had a video from JTBR Nashville Show that he posted on James Taylor’s FB showing JT signing at the stage after the show and talks very emotionally about how much he appreciated James signing a shirt he’d bought. I think we can’t edit or remove any of our own posts anymore. Just want to say that link only works if you are a Facebook member.
