Many thanks for the good wishes happy to report Steve is doing well and looking forward to July. No driving for a while so he will have to relax and put up with my driving. Fortunately we booked flexable ferry tickets and were able to extend uk trip. He is determined to be back on the road by July….what we do for JT the love of JT.

We were all set for our USA road trip, Steve and I counting down the days to our five week American adventure with the added bonus of a couple of JT shows, great seats, hotels etc booked and confirmed. Alas, not to be, we have had to cancel as Steve has had a heart attack! Happy to report that he is recovering well, but unable to travel until he undergoes additional procedures. In retrospect, we were extremely lucky that this happened before we went as I would not have liked to have been in the Smokey Mountains for this to happen. As a consolation we have added an additional UK show, and fingers crossed will still make it to Italy in July. Steve is determined that our road trip will take place next year….here’s hoping.

Tee, all done and dusted, just waiting for notification of seating allocations for UK dates….so lucky they came out when they did as we were going to do Dublin. Italian venues look amazing, love that he is doing Rome and at our favourite site in all of Rome!! Allocated first and second rows, however, will not jump up and down as you know only too well, first row sometimes does not always mean front! Our US trip is weeks away still booking hotels route planning etc. As always we have a plan A and plan B…if the southern states get too hot for us we will head north….
Noticed the band…will miss Larry. Really is a year of boats, trains and planes….and of course thousands of car miles! How on earth did we find the time when we were working?

Hi Tee, Hope you are well and still have your road boots on! We are all living in hope that with the Hyde Park Concert, James will fit in a couple of gigs before or after. As you say it is the anticipation. We must leave it in the hands of JT and his business management to determine what is good for him.
As for Steve and I, our previously planned US trip has been given a boost with the release of the additional dates…We now find ourselves going to the Charlotte and Greenboro concerts. there was no plan to go to concerts, Steve was having his choice of vacation (which is rare) to visit Nashville, Memphis etc, we have 4 weeks on the road which gives us plenty of options. Have to say we were delighted to get tickets in the pre sale. Last time we were over, we paid top dollar for tickets. Any tips for our visit greatly appreciated.

Sir Martin, just came across your post from earlier this year…..seems we had so many names in common. Yes over the years we have lost contact with number of JTOers who were there in the early days, however, it is always a treat to meet them again at some JTO venue across the world. I have had the pleasure of meeting many people. I have always been of the opinion if you like and enjoy JT you have to be a good person. That is my outlook at any rate. JTOers I have met have been friendly and welcoming. I fondly remember the old chat room, however with ever evolving technology people stay in contact in many ways. Fondly remember those evenings, waiting for everyone to log on…..

Barb, so sorry on the loss of your friend. JTO has been established many years and I know that I am one of many who have met and made good friends here. We have been on a life journey together and have shared many happy moments all thanks to JT and of course Joel for maintaining this important site.
Technology has come a long way. For JT fans this site has been a lifeline for fuelling our craving for information on JT at a time before facebook, twitter etc. It served us well enabling us to talk in the chat-room, exchange details, meet at concerts, travel the world etc. Long may it continue.
