Great set list!
Uptight, low-energy crowd as I’ve come to expect (at least inside the shed). Every year I say it’s my last year!
In no order and not complete:
Basics – Country Rd, SBJ, Fire Rain, Steamroller, Smiling Face, How Sweet, Shower, Don’t Let Me Be Lonely, Close Your eyes, Mexico, something in the way she moves
Jump Up
Line Em Up
never Die Young
Sunny Skies
Montana
Rainy Day Man with Bonnie
Thing Called Love
October Rd
Star Spangled Banner (first song)
Where are you sitting Barb?
I heard from someone who went last night that the set list is “different” and usual. We’ll see!!
I have it on a VHS tape in a bin in my basement…..
Yes, we met and talked with some of the Boston Marathon peeps at Fenway (and Tanglewood). It shook me up, frankly! James is so kind to them.
years and years and YEARS ago, Emily and I got to chat with him while leaning on the old green pickup truck after a Tanglewood show during the fireworks (maybe the same truck as on Before This World cover?). Long, long time ago – pre-twins I think! Certainly a different world now.
Did he hang out and greet people outside the park after the Fenway show? I did not hang around that long.
very interesting!!
would be great if he was smiling and looking at the camera too!
I can’t wait to read it. I have been telling Tee all week “I will read it tonight, I will read it tonight….”
Personally I am just interested out of morbid curiosity. I also believe that the information is so old as to not really be relevant anymore (most of it happened before I was even born as a matter of fact). Everyone involved is likely a completely different person now.
I also know that not a lot of it will really be a surprise, for those of us who are studied up on what James himself has put out there. The man “is himself” for a living. He was a Mean Old Man. He repeatedly gives the advice “avoid a major drug habit and don’t children before you are ready.” He writes songs about giving away homes in divorces – we’ve heard most of it all before.
I can speak for last year’s show at Fenway – I had front row seats and was still separated from the stage by many feet and a fence! So unfortunately not very easy DURING the show. But, if one were to hang around BEFORE or AFTER, you never know. I can’t speak of that here though….
wait are you serious?????
