Tee I can’t fathom what could have been perceived as hurtful about that story. So much heartfelt detail including that of James sending his love to this group.
But of course you know that I know (maybe better than most) the pettiness and backstabbing that goes on here. Also some tall-tale telling but I won’t go into that on here!
I love your use of the word Trumpian. Last night at Fenway when fans were pushed aside by security so the Red Sox ownership could have a private front-Row dance party I felt the same way!! (Security quote “they can do that, they’re the owners” – classy way to treat your paying customers huh??)
Arkie and Gypsy! Blast from the past, love it!
I’ve sat in the front row center a bunch of times including at Tanglewood.
Maybe it doesn’t bother me that people get up and dance because I’m already up myself.
Either way, it’s kind of strange to assume that no fans are going to approach the stage when James WIFE and singers are up there encouraging people to get up and come down. Doesn’t make sense.
Barb, I actually did ask the complaining front row occupants if they had ever been to a concert before! Maybe not in the sweetest of tones, but I thought maybe they didn’t know what to expect?
I have NEVER been pushed at any venue other than Tanglewood!!
I have never heard people in the front row complain about the crowd going up to the stage at the end except at Tanglewood!
I have never been elbowed by women next to me at the end of the show except at Tanglewood.
Really don’t know what it is!!
Ahhh I didn’t know it was on the screen. There was definitely that same shot in one of the website photo posts. “Gazing adoringly” is an understatement LOL!
I had a woman actually purposely elbowing me in the side and making snide comments because she didn’t think people should be allowed to stand in front of the stage at the end of the show. Ummmm ok tell that to James and the singers because they seems to like it!!
Hi Ree. He did do it last year, but I think we are making the same point. Crowd was just as aggressive and awful last year as this year. It’s really odd – I have seen him at a fair number of venues all over and folks are MUCH pushier at Tanglewood. Very strange!! Sense of entitlement perhaps, who knows. The lawn is a love fest but inside the shed is different!!
I wish more of the crowd had the vibe that the HP article described!
It’s a beautiful place for sure but never the best crowd! Did you get to give him messages? There was quite a crush of people up there during intermission – very rude and pushy!!
