Touring against this album in 2020 sounds great, but doesn’t jive with the sense that people have gotten from James (directly or indirectly) that he will be taking a time-out for the next year/two.
It was nice to see you! And such a fun show…if a little HOT and SWEATY (especially holding a 6 year old on my hip during the encores)
My son actually got the first autograph (on a baseball card, James throwing out the first pitch at Fenway). He was so interested in him and nice, asked his name and how old he was, and was he a Red Sox fan. It was very sweet!
My younger daughter was NOT happy to be left out of this, and she insisted on her own picture. James helped her get onto the stage, positioned her, and grabbed by phone to take the picture himself. So sweet again!
Finally, at the very end, my 11 year old wanted to come in (from the lawn) to see what the show was like up close. She got to shake James’s hand (“ewwww, he is soooooo sweaty) while I thanked him for being so awesome and giving everyone such a fun night.
Oh, the music was good too.

The jealousy is very sad. I’ve been through it too. Years and years ago I used to share every detail – every wave, up close photo, hugs, backstage encounter and and KISSES (yup! Hey I was 25 and he never complained!) until the jealousy and questioning and other BS started. Do you stalk him? Ummmm nope I waited by his bus with 10 other people thank you. Did you go through his trash? Nope but I live in the same state as he does so close enough?
Funny that this all started once a new “sheriff” came to town!
We should form a club! Pretty sure “someone” told Ellyn at some point in the past that I “went through James’ trash.” I mean, I did grab an empty water bottle of his off the stage once for fun when I was like 23, but really ……
It’s no one’s place to give any opinion on what others choose to post. I wonder how Tee feels being told that it’s “hurtful” to share her experience, as someone who has been doing so for oh, 20 years at this point? So petty.
PS Barb – you elbowed me at Tanglewood trying to edge to the stage but I never mentioned it. And you didn’t “help rescue” a little girl that got passed over the crowd. That was my little girl and all you did was try to push past us!! Nice story tho!
So wait, we now have to censor ourselves based on what benefits others did or didn’t get? Wow. So when I get front two seats I should be quiet, in case others didn’t get such good seats? This is ridiculous. Is this a competition?
I must have missed the part where anyone said “na na na na na na I had time with James and you didn’t”
