I agree,Tee. I was just looking at Jimmy Buffet tickets,as he’ll be at the Sprint Center, too, only this coming wknd. Tix are @ $149!! James’s were only around $100. NOT unreasonable, not to see James!

It’s only out of pure stubbornness,of me refusing anything more than an annual surgery,to ward off my b cancer that it’s back,3rd yr in a row,and just in time for a concert for me,too. But lumpectomy #3 this afternoon, and then the 11 days to heal before James is in Kansas City. I’m hoping to read lots and lots of concert reviews. It’s good for the soul.
I complained to my surgeon about how it keeps foreshadowing these JT concerts. He replied,”Well it IS almost summer!” Ok, I asked for that….true, but still!!
Thank you to James and the band for being my light at the end of the tunnel.

I can’t remember where I saw James with Ben in Des Moines, but I was back in like the 13th row,and still felt up close. Sound, seating was great.

I feel the same about Starlight Theatre here in Kansas City.Something about the starry skies, the coziness, you can’t get that feeling in the huge arenas,no matter how well the sound system is.

But I’ll take what I can get. Many of my 1970s favorites are either long retired, gone, or sitting on a beach drinking tequilas, and not putting their aging bodies through the tough regimen of a road tour.

I hoped to get more pics for you,but it rained all day Sunday, and was much cooler yesterday.Spent alot of time at my son’s house with my grandsons, and watching deer, playing around there. We did get to Carrboro, near UNC,and I learned alot of history about CH, including seeing University Inn. That place sits on the hill (though not much of a hill!) where New Hope Chapel used to sit in the 1700s.Hence the name,Chapel Hill. Pretty place. We dined in old rail cars in Carrboro, and I wanted to try their barbeque. I still love KC Barbeque. Vinegar-based,atleast there where I tried it,wasn’t for me. We drove through the campus of University of North Carolina. I didn’t see a building where Dr.Taylor might have worked, but did see the hospital. Apparently the whole town was built around that school.

Two weeks til I go. Looks like I’ll miss the peak colors of fall, but oh well, it’s going to be so much fun to finally see Chapel Hill. Pics to come.

There’s one face value ticket for $1,010 in Ebay, and one on the 5th row in section 5 (so about 30 rows back from the stage) for $200. I’m 12 hrs away, and the concert starts in 10 1/2 hours. Airfare is $800. I’m staying home, but it IS going to be televised on 11 different Texas stations,if you’re lucky enough to get to watch it.
