I’m trying to find a hotel in the area right now,for tomorrow night.I’ve never been there, trying to look at a map and figure it all out. Ones right there by the Civic Center are $169 a night. Not splurging this time, but don’t want to nap in the truck, either.Just excited to get my monthly dose.

I think it’d be hilarious if part of it was a tell-all on Carly. Only fitting after what I heard about her book. Some things are just better left behind closed doors!

Thank you for sharing that, Bridget. What a tender moment that must have been. So did he learn the ukele before his mom got him the cello? OR was this first? Hmmm.

There was a purple light shining on the curtain when James talked about Prince in Chattanooga, and the woman sitting next to me asked me if I thought that was because of Prince. Apparently so,judging by this tribute. There is a reason why some become famous. James is living proof. He has a heart of GOLD.

That’s really cool. He mentioned Prince before he broke into You’ve Got A Friend when he was in Chattanooga, but no “Purple Rain”.

I’d love to hear that as well.

    It was 1400 miles round trip,bonafide Cray-cray here,but worth every single mile. I think sometimes,”Oh, I can’t do a road trip”,and then there’s a concert,and I hit the road! I have a 22 yr old Ford pickup, so I defied reasoning.

I’m usually not bold enough to go up to the stage while he’s signing autographs, but I did, because the couple next to me ended up being so nice, and HE didn’t have an autograph, so I said I’d go down there. One young woman kept screeching James’s name, trying to get him to come down close to where I was standing.I wouldn’t have the patience he does, its something to admire. But eventually, amidst her yelling, he signed her shirt.

The intro for Jolly Springtime, which he’s now broken away from Before This World, was about how his dad used to sing a little song about it being the 1st of May,time for outdoor f-ing. The song now will hold a totally new meaning for me, but hence the “Birds and the bees”,I think. Nice to know my dad wasn’t the only dad who said things he probably shouldn’t have around his kids!

During “How Sweet It Is” I also went back down to the stage, and danced along with the rest of them.I figure life’s short.Go for it! Jimmy Johnson gave me a sweet smile, too. I hope if you haven’t gone to see this year’s show, you do. Plenty of classics on the list.

I got into Chattanooga at 1 am, and boy what a beautiful State, even in the dark. The moon was shining up over the mountains, and glistening on the water. It was breathtaking. It will be fun to take it all in when I drive home tomorrow morning, but I’m not rushing it. I still have a concert to attend tonight. I’m so happy I came!
