They have been teasing this new standars album for a while now, so I expect some more specific announcement soonish. But I’m guessing for a release in early 2020.
Hope the announcment will also include some audio clips or a single …
Can’t find the interview anymore. I only remember it talked about this album of Jazz standards which was at that time intended for somewhere first half of 2019. Think he recorded “Moon River” for it …
Last year JT said in an interview he was working on an album of Jazz standards, based mostly around his versions on the acoustic guitar but also featuring guitarist John Pizzarelli. It seems they may be in the final stages of producing that album, so I guess relatively soon we may get a release date for it. Looks like the jamestaylor_com team is already building up the anticipation for it 🙂
Congratulations Joel! 25 years online is a long time! 🙂
(crazy to think my website has been online for ten years already …)
I guess we’ll find out in 2 years 😉
Too bad you cannot go to the concert. I will be there and am very much looking forward to it.
As far as I know the “Platea Gold” tickets are only 115 euro (or around 122 including service fees), which would make <500 euro for four tickets. Or did you mean 538 dollars?
By the way, tickets are also still available on the official website 🙂
Glad you got to enjoy at least part of a concert! Only 2 more months before I see James again …
I only found these concerts online, maybe it is one of those?
1971-03-05 – Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, FL, USA
1971-03-07 – Curtis Hixon Convention Hall, Tampa, FL, USA
1975-10-25 – Florida Gymnasium, Gainesville, FL, USA
That is great! I hope you enjoy the concert!
You can also try again in the general sales! On jamestaylor.com they only have limited selections of tickets for the presales, and those are not necessarily the cheapest ones (they do obviously have the cheapest price for those specific seats they offer).
I’m not sure which concert you plan to go to, but at least for the Manchester concert the Manchester Arena website says tickets will be £50.00 – £75.00, so there is a chance that there will be some cheaper tickets there.
