In Search Of: JT 1977 VHS Concert

If you were to do a search on YouTube for “James Taylor 1977”, you would see 2 or 3 “clips” from this filmed concert. This is 2 years before his “Official 1st VHS Tape” is released. The one all of us know as 1979’s James Taylor in Concert.

But I KNOW this earlier, 1977 show, was filmed entirely, because I received it in a trade, back in my tape trading days. That tape is sadly no longer around…but my memory of it is pretty firm.

Anyone have a clue as why and when and where this was filmed? And more importantly, anyone have a way to direct me to acquiring a copy?

Ive included a photo, for reference. Again, this is 1977, NOT 1979. Hope someone can help! And thanks!

I think a partial recording of the show was broadcast on the Italian tv show “Rock a Mezzanotte”. It’s a recording of James’ show in 1977 at the Hollywood Palladium. Maybe that info will help finding more videos online?
