Two-Lane Blacktop Re-Release
Criterion has just released a new Blu-Ray version of JT’s 1971 acting debut, Two-Lane Blacktop. Directed by Monte Hellman, it’s a love-it-or-hate-it road movie that also stars Beach Boy Dennis Wilson and Warren Oates. Don’t miss Criterion’s great overview of JT’s role, including his screen test and some clips from the film. The new version is available now at Amazon.

After a brief hiatus of only 14 years, we’re happy to announce the second JTO Covers Contest. We’ll have more details about voting and maybe even prizes after the first of the year. In the meantime, if you have a great rendition of a JT song and you’re ready to share it with your fellow fans then fire up those cameras and microphones and post your links (YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.) in the new Covers Contest section of our discussion forum.
