President Honors Carole King
A clip from the “2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song” ceremony honoring Carole King is now available to watch on YouTube. The entire ceremony, including a performance by JT, will be broadcast on PBS television stations on Tuesday, May 28 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
White House To Honor Carole King
JT will perform at a White House ceremony honoring Carole King, recipient the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, Jesse McCartney, Trisha Yearwood, and Carole King herself are also scheduled to perform at the May 22 ceremony.
JT Performs at MIT Memorial Service
JT performed Wednesday at the memorial service for Massachusetts Institute of Technology Police Officer Sean Collier, who was killed last week by the alleged Boston Marathon bombers. The entire ceremony is now available to watch online. JT performs “The Water Is Wide” around the 1:18 mark and “Shower the People” around the 1:57 mark.
